A new HR Forum
Following on from the success of our HR Digital Media Group in Brighton, Fiona Martin, of Martin Searle Solicitors, in association with Kelly Dibbert, Wired Sussex, are launching a new HR Digital Media Group in Crawley for companies based in the Gatwick area (Crawley, East Grinstead and Horsham).
We welcome business owners, HR Managers, directors and employees responsible for personnel issues who work in the Digital Media Sector.
This session
Attracting the best digital talent
Led by Kelly Dibbert, Jobs and Talent Manager at Wired Sussex, a membership organisation for digital, media and tech businesses in Sussex.
Kelly, who manages the jobs board within Wired Sussex, will advise on how your business can recruit the best digital talent. Her session will also offer valuable insight into the work of Wired Sussex including the Digital Catapult Centre and how she can support your business.
Maximising staff performance
Fiona Martin, Head of Employment Law at Martin Searle Solicitors will provide top tips on how to effectively develop your people to maximise performance and manage staff who are under performing.
This session will advise attendees on how to:
- Ensure current appraisals are relevant and work well for their business;
- Understand capability processes and procedures;
- Set out the relevant legislation relating to performance and capability issues and how to practically apply it;
- Prepare for sickness absence and grievances when performance managing employees.
Attendees will learn how to deal with capability issues in a timely and fair manner. Written materials will be provided including a Managing Performance Policy.
