Celebrating Our 14th Year In Business As Part Of Refugee Week
We were delighted to celebrate our 14th birthday as part of Refugee Week, Brighton, which offered a wonderful programme of arts, cultural and educational events.
Paul Hutchings, co-founder of Refugee Support, spoke about the rising political tensions that continue to affect refugees internationally and the work that they are doing to supply aid with dignity.
Special thanks to Syrian band Jamal and Alaa, DJ Eggs Legs and LAFIDIKI for their mesmerising music. Stephen Silverwood and friends of Refugee Radio did a sterling job of introducing the evening. Thank you also to Butler’s Wine Cellar for supplying their delicious wines for our bar and Sunbirds Deli for their succulent dips.
It was a sunny solstice evening for our party and everyone had a great night dancing and relaxing in Werks Central’s beautiful garden. All proceeds from our party are donated to Refugee Support.
