Carers Summit Guest Speaker – The Carers Centre Brighton – Friday 28 November 2014
Cate Searle is delighted to announce she will be a guest speaker at the Carer’s Summit for Carer’s Rights Day organised by The Carer’s Centre in Brighton. She will be talking about The Care Act 2014 and how this new law will affect carer rights from April 2015.
Her talk will include:
- Why changes are needed in the law and how this effects your right to receive support as a carer
- How carers will be recognised in the law in the same way as those they care for and new rules surrounding young carers, or adult carers of disabled children and planning effective moves to adult care
- What effects changes in The Care Act will have on local authority assessments and the overall improved quality of life for the carer
