HR Matters is a bi monthly HR Forum for business owners, HR Managers, Directors and employees responsible for personnel issues, who work in any sector.
Fiona Martin, Director and Head of Employment Law jointly coordinates HR Matters with Jane Schofield, who is HR Manager at Varndean College and Heidi Rush, owner of HR Smart.
Jane Cattermole is a MHFA Workplace Associate, approved MHFA Instructor and is also a qualified Integrative Counselling Psychotherapist. For 13 years she has worked for ESRA, a charity providing employment and retention support to people with mental health problems and their employers. She set up Minding Your Business 3 years ago as the Training Service for ESRA and delivers specialist services and training to a wide variety of organisations.
- Jane’s session will include:
- The facts about stress and mental illness.
- How stress affects your staff (and you!).
- Understanding Type A and B personality styles and how this affects stress management.
- Strategies for addressing stress in the workplace.
Jane says, ‘There’s nothing ‘woolly’ about the issue of stress and mental illness in business. The psychological wellbeing of staff is a significant organisational concern throughout all industries and sectors – are we REALLY addressing it?’
