Martin Searle Solicitors Raise Over £1,000 For Local Children’s Charity
We’re thrilled to announce that we have raised £1,070 for a local children’s charity, Adventure Unlimited.
During the last few months of 2012 Martin Searle Solicitors were organising an Alternative 80s Party, which was held on Friday December 21st at Latest Musicbar, in aid of Adventure Unlimited. More than 100 people turned out to support the event, many braving the winter streets in their finest 80s attire in order to attend.
The funds raised will help Adventure Unlimited transform the lives of disadvantaged children and young people through outdoor education and adventure.
Music critic, journalist and DJ Simon Price donated his time to the cause and kept the party going with his Alternative 80s club night, Spellbound. Henry Butler, of Butlers Wine Cellar, judged the Best Dressed and Best Dancer contests on the night and donated the prizes.
Fiona Martin, Director of Martin Searle Solicitors, praised the generosity of everyone involved in supporting the event: “It was fantastic to have such an enthusiastic turnout. The costumes were very entertaining as was the 80s dancing. I’d also like to thank Ruth from Latest Musicbar for all of her support in planning the event and Mark Walker for his DJing.”
Louise Stone, Chief Executive Officer at Adventure Unlimited, says: “Everyone seemed to have a good time, and I really enjoyed getting dressed up! Thank you to everyone involved. When you consider that it costs £15 for a disadvantaged young person to access a session at our indoor climbing wall, or £40 to access a day trip, you can see just how many young people this event has helped!”
